1. Scope and approach
This Privacy Policy applies to the BaZi BFire application and this website. BaZi BFire is designed primarily as an on-device product: no account is required for core features, and chart records and notes are stored locally by default.
We do not operate an advertising network, use IDFA, track you across other companies' apps or websites, or build behavioral advertising profiles.
2. Information you choose to enter
Depending on the features you use, you may enter or create:
- A name, nickname, record label, and gender selection.
- Birth date and time, solar or lunar calendar details, leap-month selection, place, time zone, longitude, and true solar-time preferences.
- Direct Four Pillars input and generated chart information.
- Personal notes, readings, naming candidates, compatibility selections, reports, home-direction settings, and home object markers.
You control what you enter. Avoid recording information about another person unless you have a lawful reason and their permission where required.
3. Local storage and backups
Chart records, notes, preferences, and generated content are stored in the app's local support directory or system preferences on your device. BaZi BFire does not upload this content to a publisher-operated account or synchronization server.
Your operating-system backup configuration may include app data in an Apple-managed device or cloud backup. Those backups are governed by your Apple settings and Apple's terms.
When you export a backup, report image, or text, you choose the destination. Exported files and copied content are then controlled by you and by the destination service or application.
4. Location and compass
When you use compass features, BaZi BFire may request location access while the app is in use so iOS can provide true-north orientation. If you decline, the compass can continue with magnetic north where available.
Live location used for compass orientation is not added to chart records and is not uploaded by BaZi BFire. A place, time zone, or longitude that you deliberately enter for a birth-time calculation is stored as part of that record.
5. Photos, files, and clipboard
Saving a report image requests add-only Photos permission. The app writes the image you choose to save and does not read your photo library.
Backup import reads only the file you select through the system file picker. Backup export writes only to the destination you select. The Copy action places the selected report text on the system clipboard so you can paste it elsewhere.
6. Purchases and subscriptions
Monthly and annual memberships, subscription offer codes, purchase restoration, billing, and refunds are handled by Apple through StoreKit and your Apple Account.
BaZi BFire receives product information, verified transaction status, and current entitlement information needed to unlock membership features. We do not receive or store your full payment-card number, Apple Account password, or other payment credentials.
7. Website and support communications
This static website does not include advertising pixels or behavioral analytics scripts. A hosting provider may process standard technical request data such as IP address, browser type, requested page, and time for delivery, security, and reliability purposes under that provider's policy.
If you contact us by email, we receive your email address and the content you send. We use it to answer your request, maintain support continuity, prevent abuse, and meet legal obligations. Do not send payment credentials or unnecessary sensitive birth information.
8. Sharing and disclosure
We do not sell personal information. Information may be processed by Apple for purchases and platform services, by your chosen hosting or sharing destination, and by the email provider used when you contact support.
We may disclose limited information when required by applicable law, a valid legal process, or to protect users, the public, or our legal rights.
9. Retention and deletion
Local records remain until you delete them, replace them through an import, clear app data, or remove the app and its data. Exported files and images remain wherever you placed them until you delete them there.
Support email is retained only as long as reasonably needed to resolve the request, maintain a support history, prevent abuse, or comply with law.
10. Your choices
- Edit or delete saved records inside the app.
- Export a backup before deleting local data.
- Change Location and Photos permissions in iOS Settings.
- Manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple subscription settings.
- Contact us about a privacy question or support communication.
Because core chart data is not synchronized to a publisher server, we generally cannot retrieve or delete a local record on your behalf.
11. Children and security
BaZi BFire is not directed to children. Do not enter a child's personal information unless you have lawful authority and have considered whether doing so is appropriate.
We rely on Apple's app sandbox, system storage, permission controls, and StoreKit protections. No storage or transmission method can be guaranteed completely secure, so protect your device, backups, and exported reports.
12. Changes and contact
We may update this policy when the product, legal requirements, or data practices change. Material changes will be reflected on this page and, when appropriate, in the app or its product listing.
